Founded in 1984, the Centre d'Art Contemporain du Luxembourg Belge (CACLB) was set up as part of a policy of decentralisation initiated by the Ministry of the French Community of Belgium. It remains "nomadic" until 1994, the year which marks its anchorage on the site of the Grange du Faing in Jamoigne. Since 2007, it has been established on the Montauban-Buzenol site where it offers the creation of temporary monumental and environmental works in an area devoted to archaeology, heritage and nature. Since its creation, the CACLB's mission has been the diffusion and integration of contemporary plastic arts in the countryside. In addition to his integration work on the Montauban site, it participates in the cultural life of the whole province of Luxembourg through collaborations and involvement in various initiatives. It also develops several pedagogical activities allowing especially children to discover contemporary art.
