Galerie Bertrand Gillig, formerly Espace G, was created in 2004.
The programming mainly concerns painting, drawing, photography, and sculpture, by emerging artists from which two-thirds come from France. All the artists have an international career and exhibit regularly in Europe and/or in the United States.
The main themes developed by the gallery are the relationship to architecture and the landscape, the alteration of things by the passage of time, the notion of memory, of abandonment (abandoned spaces, latent and ambiguous states), as well as sensation of appearance/disappearance and absence/presence.
The latest contemporary art fairs in which the gallery has participated are Luxembourg Art Week 2019, Bienvenue Paris 2019 (Off of the FIAC), St-Art 2017, Luxembourg Art Week 2018, and AAF Brussels in 2017. In 2016, the gallery exhibited at Scope Basel, AAF Brussels, St-Art, and Take Off Luxembourg. The gallery also participated in Scope Basel and St-Art in Strasbourg in 2015, Scope New-York, and St-Art in Strasbourg in 2014, Art Copenhagen August / September 2013, Slick Brussels April 2013, Art Paris 2012 ... The gallery participated in 10 editions in St-Art.
