Les images circulent. Les formes artistiques se nourrissent les unes les autres. Le cinéma se nourrit des arts. Mais cette circulation n’est pas à sens unique : l’art contemporain utilise également l’expérience cinématographique pour penser les images et les formes plastiques de la création en s’affranchissent de toute frontière. Il n’est donc pas rare de croiser des fragments de cinéma au détour d’une exposition, révélant peut-être une nouvelle matière pour les artistes contemporains. Cette conférence éclairera quelques aspects de cette circulation des images et des relations artistiques dans les œuvres, de Marcel Duchamp à Douglas Gordon, en passant par Pierre Huyghe, Alfred Hitchcock, Peter Tscherkassky, Abbas Kiarostami et quelques autres.

With an agregation in French litterature and a doctorate in Aesthetic and Art Sciences from the Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University, Sébastien Rongier is also a writer and essayist who published about the conferecence topic Cinématière. Arts et Cinéma (Klincksieck, 2015). Recent publication : Duchamp et le cinéma (Nouvelles éditions Place, 2018), Les désordres du monde. Walter Benjamin à Port-Bou, (récit, Pauvert-Fayard 2017). Soon published : Alma a adoré. Psycho : l’effet cinéma (Marest éditions, 2020).
