GALERIE ANJA KNOESS shows international, contemporary positions in painting, sculpture and photography from Germany, Europe, China and the USA. The gallery's programme focuses on artists whose work consistently oscillates between abstraction and figuration. In the works of the artists represented by Anja Knoess, the basic idea of abstraction usually remains apparent; coming from the object, it continues as a progression into the non-figurative. The artistic starting point within the various genres is always the question of the technical-formal means and possibilities of contemporary painting, photography and sculpture.
