Since its founding in July 2019, Avee has operated with the soul of an artist run space within the body of a gallery, intending to offer a program of institutional quality. Next to a modestly sized central location which it operated for 5 years in Kortrijk, it has specialized in site specific exhibitions and events, performances and art trajectories, and conceptual installations. Avee is currently organising exhibitions and events in Ghent in collaboration with Pizza Gallery.

With a holistic approach involving cyclical interconnected exhibitions, Avee has since the beginning aimed to offer a platform to unknown, misunderstood, emerging and forgotten artists, supporting them in their productions, elaborating their conceptual frameworks and offering a feedback network of art professionals and collectors. After a sabbatical year Avee has just resumed activities with a booth at the artist run fair in Brussels this May, and is opening its new exhibition space in Waregem after the summer.
