Founded in 2015, Luxembourg Art Week has grown around a dual purpose: supporting the contemporary art market and playing an active part in the country’s cultural life. The fair acts as a unifying force, a place of discovery, exchange and encounter where established and emerging scenes meet, bringing together players from Luxembourg, Europe and beyond. Around it, a cultural programme extends this energy beyond the fair’s walls.
Parcours, talks, tours and experiences accompany visitors through the fair, while temporary exhibitions, installations in public space and events developed with local cultural partners carry the experience beyond the stands.This interplay between an international fair and an Art Week responds to a single ambition: to encourage the circulation of works, ideas and audiences, to build bridges between the market and institutions, and to strengthen the ties between the national scene and the international networks of contemporary art.
Highlights of the 2026 edition
78 exhibitors from 15 countries
For its 12th edition, Luxembourg Art Week brings together 78 exhibitors from 15 countries, 22 of whom are taking part in the fair for the first time. With 78% international exhibitors (an increase of almost 10% compared with 2025), the 2026 edition confirms the fair’s European and international openness and continues the dialogue between established galleries, new scenes and emerging creation.
Focus Photo
The thread running through this edition, Focus Photo runs across the fair’s different sections and highlights the diversity of contemporary and historical photographic practices. This focus echoes the Bicentenary of Photography in France (2026–2027) and finds a particular resonance in Luxembourg, a country with deep historical ties to the medium.
From the Fair to Art Week
Meanwhile, Luxembourg Art Week continues to develop a programme that extends beyond both the walls and the timeframe of the fair. From October onwards, Art Walk takes over public spaces through the [sculpture trail] and the (capsules). A selection of exhibitions and Rendez-vous events carries this momentum further across Luxembourg.
Exhibitors
This year brings together a wide array of exhibitors. The Main Section presents established galleries from Luxembourg and abroad. It offers a panorama of modern and contemporary creation across different generations of artists, practices and geographies.
Take Off is dedicated to young galleries (less than 5 years) and emerging talent. It shines a light on scenes and curatorial approaches engaged with contemporary creation.
Also part of Take Off, Projects & Institutions are in dialogue with the galleries, Projects & Institutions brings together institutional and cultural players whose contributions enrich the visitor journey and open the fair up to other forms of presentation, encounter and knowledge-sharing.
Collecting 101
