"Sonic Investigations: a Field Report" is an immersive project exploring how sound transforms our perception of the environment. The exhibition revisits the sound piece developed for the Luxembourg Pavilion at the 19th International Architecture Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia, this time returning to the territory where it was recorded: Luxembourg.
This "Field Report" brings together a collection of field recordings, on-site research and reflections on spaces as varied as data centres, forests, energy production infrastructure and artificial lakes. Each of these places reveals, through its sounds, the invisible dynamics that shape the landscape.
Listening opens up new possibilities for studying built and natural environments, shifting our attention and giving a voice to the non-human entities with which we coexist. The project offers an opportunity to imagine new perspectives on space and to bring a multisensory approach to architectural practice.
